Aren't these things difficult to write?!?
I guess that from the outside, Graham looked like a pretty average bloke.
For those of us that had the privelege of knowing him, it was clear he was anything but average!
Most of his life was spent working hard and playing harder. A bit of a "jack of all trades", he sold Insurance... he ran a Spar shop... he ran a pub... he was a JP... I don't think there was much he didn't have a try at!!!
His great love was sailing - as a Powerboat instructor he spent time working in the Ascencion Islands, and spent many years sailing his own boats. There was only ever one place to find him on a Saturday afternoon - cleaning, polishing, sailing, or enjoying a drink with friends on a boat.
Married to Kay, they had 2 children - Simon and Julia - and it must have been a proud day when they both went into the army.
Later in life, he settled down with Denise and became a father figure to Jason and Tanya.
He was a proud Grandad too - six times in total - Daniel, Thomas, Jake, Kimberly & James would be able to tell plenty of stories about him. Kyran, the youngest, was only 3 weeks old when Graham left us.
So, yeah, I guess the point is that he was a top bloke. He'd do anything for anyone if he thought you were worth it. And we all miss him lots.
Well liked by many people, and respected by many more.
